acf Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 And the "tech" told me all I needed (out of his products) was their car wash, scratch remover (ScratchX) and since I had a white car, their Cleaner Wax. I know this is a limited job considering sealants, polishes, clay etc. but I thought this was a good start as the car is in great shape right now. Comments?
SW03ES Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 Yeah thats a good place to start. The Scrath X is supposed to be a great spot action product although I've never tried it.
bbsal Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 i tried that once and it does work great!i had a few scratches and it toke care of them no problem.
acf Posted August 21, 2003 Author Posted August 21, 2003 Coolio. Think I should use Dawn for the first wash to remove the wax the dealer put on?
SW03ES Posted August 22, 2003 Posted August 22, 2003 No reason to if you're not using a sealant. The cleaner wax will remove whatevers on there. Dawn washing in only important to ensure proper bonding of the sealant.
acf Posted August 27, 2003 Author Posted August 27, 2003 I've also got a black Mitsu Gallant and figure I'll use the same products on both. Even though the guy said the cleaner wax works best on white cars I assume a black car will be good to go as well?
SW03ES Posted August 27, 2003 Posted August 27, 2003 The results on the Mitsu prolly won't be stunning, but it'll protect it better than nothing.
