Melo Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 The New 2004 Lexus IS Could this be the new IS? According to Autofiend it is. It's Japan's New Toyota Altezza, set for release in Fall '04. This Japanese version of the Lexus IS comes equipped with the same engine as the New Toyota Aristo, a V6, 3.5 liter engine with 280hp @ 6400 rpm, and 238 lb-ft @ 4000. But America's version, The Lexus IS 330, has a V6, 3.3 liter engine, and is rumored to come equipped with AWD, just like the new GS. SW03ES Posted August 23, 2003 Posted August 23, 2003 Eh, still not sure. Autofiend is just a rumor mill. I wouldnt trust the pic myself. Also, the IS is basically unchanged for 2004, thats already been released.

I'm curious what exactly is on that new center console by the e-brake, as well as the 2 new buttons on the sound system. Other than that, it looks identical though, and still the same I6 3.0.
