godfather18
Heys guys my car has been making a thumping noise when I go over small bumps and when I go over big bumps like speed bumps it doesnt do it. I think it could be either the control arm bushing or stabalizer bushings. Need some advice
2Lexy4U
My wifes 99 es300 makes a thumping sound also. It only seems to do it when its cold and goes away after a few miles. It doesn't happen on big stuff only on chop or rough pavement. My 01 doesn't do this at all but it only has 40K on it whereas my wifes is at 110K. I've taken it several places to see whats up, but noone knows. I also met a few others who have a 99 also and they say the same thing. I hope its normal. :cries: I know its not an answer, but your not alone.
anthonyiez
my best guess is the rf stab bar bushing is bad. more than likely u might have a p/s pump leaking a bit on the bushing. this is what typically kills that bushing.
