camlex Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Hello, While I drive on rough roads, rattling noises come from the brake pads. I have Toyota pads and I noticed that there is no anti-noise sims on my front and rear pads. Could that be a reason for the rattling noises and how could I fix that? Thanks,
lexusk8 Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Most likely so. Brake pads on any Lexus must have anti-squeal shims.
anthonyiez Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 no shims won't cause rattling, but by all means get a set and put them in. while you're at it change the clips in the caliper brackets.
camlex Posted October 9, 2006 Author Posted October 9, 2006 Hello, After my mechanic changed calipers, it's started. Thanks,
