Is It Ok To Mix Different Tranny Fluids?

I currently have Pennzoil multi-vehicle tranny fluid in my gs right now. I want to switch it back to Toyota Type IV but don't know whether I should drain and fill to slowly change the fluid or to do a complete flush. The car has over 120K on her and shifts fine. I had a tranny flush done at 88K miles but didn't realize at the time I should stick to Type IV. SInce I've done one flush and everything was ok, is it safe to assume another flush would be fine as well? Thanks in advance.
