Wicked_Lex Posted September 4, 2006 Share Posted September 4, 2006 Sorry if anything related has already be posted, but I could'nt find anything specific in the threads. I have a 2000 GS400 with 120K miles. Everything is stock accept for Magnaflow mufflers and SRT intake. I have been experiencing a problem recently when I let up on the gas to approach a stop. Sometimes the engine light comes on and when it does it is like the accelerator goes dead. No matter what force is applied the engine just idles. I shut off the engine, remove positive baterry cable to reset the computer, the engine light goes off and everthing is fine - for awhile. It seems like it happens more often after I have been driving on the highway for awhile and then pull off and drive around town. Has anyone else experience this problem? Is it related to the SRT piggyback? The computer? Fuel pump? Thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If the VSC Off indicator is also lit, I would suspect a problem with the throttle position sensor or accelerator position sensor. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

InspiredGS Posted October 20, 2006 Share Posted October 20, 2006 to narrow the problem down, i suggest you put your stock intake back on and see if that corrects the problem.. my guess would be the srt piggyback as your problem.. with the after intakes being 3" piping, the air mass sensor does not correctly read the air flow.. i had the same problem with my intake.. basically, i wasn't getting enough fuel.. if the intake is the problem, give srt a call or invest in an air fuel controller...GL Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
