coolwater
Is this really the correct part for 2000 ES300? I once purchased a cabin air filter online and had the dealer install it for me and it was a single-piece filter. But, all online parts store pictures show two-piece cabin air filter and I wonder which one is for my 2000 ES... did the dealer just throw away the single-piece filter that I brought in last time and not installed anything??? lexusk8
Yes, that is the correct part for your ES. The piece on the right installs first, and then the other one goes in, so they are stacked on top of each other when installed correctly. coolwater
Hmmm... that means the single-piece cabin air filter that I brought to the dealer was not even installed and they just threw it away. No wonder the air began to smell right after the visit.....

The piece on the right installs first, and then the other one goes in, so they are stacked on top of each other when installed correctly. Last month ago, I put out the cabin filter and did not notice that there were two part filters. I better go back in and try to put the one stack on top of the other. The one I have could be clean and vaccum dry. Thanks
jkatz7
How is the cabin air filter installed on a 2000 ES300?
vstolyarov
for 92-96 its where your driver gas pedal, just undo carpet, and cover, then it should pull out. my 95 es300 didn't have a filter and buying one for $50 isn't going to happen.

12three45
For my ES300 with the CD player, I took out the glove compartment, but I never did find where the filter went. Does anyone know? Andy
