demontrae Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 I have a 92 es300 and I did a complete tune up on the car since we just bought it. After two days of driving it started smoking and had a bad odor of gas. After inspecting it I found and alarming amount of fuel coming out of the exhaust. I have never seen anything like this so any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you
Toysrme Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Is it fuel, or did you blow it up & now you're dumping coolant out of a headgasket? What did you do to the car? You probably broke the distributor cap/rotor, a spark plug, or a wire.
demontrae Posted August 19, 2006 Author Posted August 19, 2006 No i dint break anything and it does not over heat in fact it seems to run fairly well. And it is gas cuz the odor is so obvious. i was told that maybe the mas is bad or an injector is stuck open???
SKperformance Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 I would say it is a stuck injector or a bad coil not firing.
Toysrme Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 There's only one coil, so it's either fire or nothing. Id bet that there's a spark plug wire not connected, in the wrong place, or a new spark plug is dead for whatever reason. And if that's ok, then ya. Injector stuck open.
