Pics Of Washington D.c. & Gettysburg

Let's see if this works....hopefully I can upload the pics of our trip to D.C. & Gettysburg. B) First pic is of Steve & I (SW) the evening we went out for dinner with our better halfs........the ladies were not too impressed when the tire debate got underway :whistles: Now first some pics of D.C........

Various pics of the White House, The Capitol, U.S. Supreme Court, International Spy Museum (that was cool!), Washington Cathedral (a must see...the pics do not do it justice it's that beautiful), Arlington National Cemetery (JFK & RFK's grave site, General Lee's home at Arglington, view of the Pentagon from General Lee's home, tomb of the unknown soldier & we saw the 'changing of the guard' & Space Shuttle memorials), The Mall with reflection pool, Washington Monument & Lincoln Memorial....last but not least, the Hope Diamond from one of the Smithsonian buildings. B)

Now for some pics of Gettysburg....

As you can see, we stayed at General Lee's Headquarters, my wife with the man himself.....General Lee.

Now I don't remember specific details of every pic here........however, in order to enjoy the experience of the historic town of Gettysburg, you must visit the Gettysburg Museum. There you will find everything from weapons used to uniforms worn and very specific details of the 4 days of battle.

We also purchased & took a 'driving tour' (which you purchase the CD & detailed map book from the gift shop at the museum.....the tour lasts a few hours, which you can take in your own vehicle or bus tour if your with a large group) that takes you to various stops of significance & explains in detail the fighting that took place there (places like 'little round top' & 'big round top' for example) with countless monuments & actual cannons which are still on the battlefields. So first some pics of the museum & stops along the tour....enjoy! B)
