astro
I am scared to roll window down. It stopped working today and almost didnt go back up. I kept hitting switch. Is there a quick fix for this? How about taking door panel off?
Rx330driver
do you hear anything, or does it just not work? if its closed right now, you should turn the key to the ACC part where the engine is not on, and then click the window up side to see if you hear that clunk that a window makes when its closed already. If not, then yes open it?
astro
If i hear the clunk what is it? Or does this mean it will be ok? How do I take the door panel off?
Rx330driver
when its in the up position, and you click the button to put the window up, you will hear this clunk sound meaning its trying to push up but its at the top already. So if you hear that, you will know that it still works. no idea about the door panel
RX_4_surfin
If it eventually went up, then it's not a fuse. It sounds like either your window switch or your window motor. Could possibly be a bad connection somewhere in there also. I've never had the doors apart in an RX, but usually it's a few screws combined with some clips that hold doors together. You just need to make sure you find all the screws and dont break the clips. Take it slow. When the door panel is loose, watch that you dont put too much strain on the wires or you may cause more problems.
