I am experiencing the transmission problem with the shift solenoid valve. I am going to purchase the solenoids? Are there 5 on the valve?

The rear light on my 01 rx 300 has been coming off and on. I am reffering to the tail light assembly on the right side. It is just one bulb. I can hit the assembly nad it comes back on. Is it easy to get to? Is it most likely a bad or loose bulb?

I got a problem this weekend. I have an 01 rx 300. The trac off / vsc (?) CEL came on all together. I have done some research and I went to Advanced auto parts. I got the code checked for free. It was the front sensor. I got on oxygensensors.com and ordered one. It was $150 shipped. I am told to make sure I put wd-40 on the bolt to avoid stripping. It is fairly easy to get to. I alos inspected all hoses and I did notice the air filter was dirty. The thing is that these sensors dont last but 100k miles. It appears to be a quick DIY 20 minute job. To reset the lights. I am told to unplug the power to the batter/ some said the negative for 1/2 hour. Without the key in the ignition. If lights still on take it to your local auto parts to get the codes read. They will actually turn the codes off when doing this. Please correct me anywhere I am wrong. My code was p1155.

I agree. Change the battery first. If you still have problems, then try a new alternator. One thing at a time... They changed the battery and said they tested the alternator and said it was bad. They said it was only charging to 13.3 and that a drain off would show up diferent?

Ok. My wife calls and her car had to be jumped. She got it to the local shop (non-lexus) and they have come up with the following? Aletrnator, battery needs replacing. It will take 3 days to get in and cost $781.00... Does this sound right? It will run with a jump?The elctrical stuff was acting up the other day. Window wouldnt roll up. I checked with Oriely's auto parts and alternator was $180 plus $75 core. Am I getting screwed?

If i hear the clunk what is it? Or does this mean it will be ok? How do I take the door panel off?

I am scared to roll window down. It stopped working today and almost didnt go back up. I kept hitting switch. Is there a quick fix for this? How about taking door panel off?
