daovang Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Hello all, Recently, I've installed an Alpine amp(240watt) and a 10 inch sub to my ES300. I am running off the stock deck and the sound to amp is possible via a speaker level converter on the amp. My problem is that yesterday when I tried to power the rear 6x9 with the amp the 6x9 stopped working. It speakers still pops but no music comes out of it. I have no clue to what could have happened. Any help or clues to why the 6x9s in the rear stopped working would be nice. Any help is appreciated, "daovang" Additional notes: OEM amp is still being used, and it heats up super fast sice the rear speakers died.
SKperformance Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 SOunds like you have a fried speaker which would fry your amp as well.

daovang Posted July 10, 2006 Author Posted July 10, 2006 The left rear speaker pops loud, while the right rear pops more quiet. Don't know what is wrong...could it be the deck?
