nevrenuf
I'm looking at a 1998 GS300 with 90,000 miles on it. My son will likely drive this car under 10,000 per year. What can I expect for maintenance items in the next 30-40,000 miles? What approximate costs should I expect? Thanks in advance for any feedback. Timing belt, Water pump while you are getting the timing belt done ( not always neccesary ), Accesory belt, plugs, oil, oil and air filter, tranny fluid ( 2 quarts ), wiper blades, etc... If you buy the parts and have a mechanic install = maybe a grand or so. Others will chime in with more details. Buy it and enjoy !!! Welcome to the club. Definitely check the accessory belt, mine broke at about 125,000, i have a 95 GS300 and my car overheated and cost me lots of money Oh yeah, don't forget to check the radiator and thermostat, both of them went on me around 120k
