Rx330driver
Im sure everybody like me has those scratches on the side of the doors from shoes of people who decide to skid their shoe on my door. and because i have a black interior, it makes a white mark that i cant seem to get off. does anybody know some sort of cleaner, like turtle wax or something, or maybe some sort of oil to get rid of it or hide it? SW03ES
I'm moving this to the detailing forum ;) The detailing forum gets good traffic BTW, and there are several people who post in there that know a lot about detailing, including a couple who don't post anywhere else on the site. Anyways, are we talking about scuffs on the paint or on the interior material in the vehicle? If its on the paint, I'd try something mild by hand first, maybe Meguiars Scratch X. On the interior I'd use a Mr Clean magic eraser followed by water/woolite 6:1.
denslexusgx470
i just get a moist towel and wipe it off. i do that everytime i car wash the car. but then again, i am very strict with shoes that hit the sidings and the leather when entering and leaving the car. yesterday, i just cleaned the my dad's odyssey sidings, and a moist rag did the job (imagine how thick that dirt is, first time i ever thought of cleaning off the shoe markings on the interior sides of the odyssey in 9 years). Rx330driver
wait...im not talking about dirt thought, im talking about rubber scratches from the shoes, meaning water does erase it for a second, but then it comes back after it dries. Im talking about the scratches on the interior plastic/vinyl things, like the inside of the doors or even in the foot wells under the dash. SW03ES
I would try the Mr Clean Magic Eraser.
Rx330driver
I will try that thanks. but isnt the magic cleaner for scratches on walls on paint? anyways... I also want to throw out that on Tuesday, im going to the dealership for an oil change etc. I also have a coupon for the Executive deal which shampoos the carpet, hand wash, and a buff and wax for $200. Just wondered if anybody has ever had the deal done and if they do a good job with the waxing because i only wax the hood of my car, lol. I feel that 200 isnt that bad for all that
SW03ES
Yep, it is. NO, don't let the dealer detail the car. Get references and let a competent professional detail the car, the cost should be about the same. The dealer doesn't employ professional detailers. SW03ES
If its a real scratch the Magic Eraser wont work.

SW03ES
If its a real scratch nothing will work unfortunately, you'll have to replace the part.
