SW03ES Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 The first thing you need to do is read the "What do I do first" thread stuck at the top of this forum. Your issue is that the proper prepwork hasn't gone into the paint before you seal it up with wax, so you're not getting the optical clarity you're looking for. The good news is that the Black Onyx, seeing that it has no clearcoat, is easy ti polish out. The bad news is its easy to scratch and mar. Gold Class isn't a very good wax, but your issue is in the prepwork not the wax. When the prep is done right, the wax doesn't really matter. Once you've read that sticky, feel free to ask more specific questions.

It is the best stuff that I have used and you can only order online here: Zaino Read and see the results. They are real. I have actually heard people complain that it reflects too much, but that is what I like about it.

I just spent $150 on some items last night and some more today...I hope the wife does not find out!
SW03ES Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Zaino is a good product, but its not going to give you the results you're looking for without the proper prep first. Personally, I think Zaino makes dark colors look too plasticky but thats just me. It'd be my go to product for silver.

Well thanks to SW03ES and Autopia, I have spent over $300 in 2 weeks on detailing. Wife is going to FLIP!!! $150 for Poor boys items (all but MF towels) $100 for LC pads (7.5" blue, white etc) and Poorboys MF Megaplush $90+ on Jeff's Werkstatt items.. (PS, AJ, AJT, CJ, CG and AG) . I need to STOP
mburnickas Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 ROFLMAO: the only other item(s) I might try are: Klasse All In One Polish (like JW item though), Optimum polish or ClearKote Carnaube Mosse Wax. Outside of that, I am done!
JasonATL Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Klasse All In One is a must have... not so much for the black onyx, but it is like a good utility infielder. I use it all over the house, as well as on my cars. Again, I rarely use it as my main polish on the black onyx. But, if I'm doing the engine compartment, for example, I'll reach for the Klasse AIO. The black trim on my RX 330 goes back to black with AIO. If I'm cleaning the glass on my bathroom shower door, I'll reach for the AIO. If I'm polishing the mailbox (come on, admit it, you've thought about it), AIO. For me, the Klasse glaze is worthless, but the AIO is priceless. And yes, you have the bug. Speaking from someone who got the bug and kept it... trust me, you have it. Enjoy!
