93shifter
I just bought a '93 SC300 5spd with 119k miles at an insurance auction for 2400.00. Have put about that much into it again replacing glass and interior pieces that were vandalized or stolen. Everything is working except the heater switch. When I dial in "Max Cold" the AC works just like it should, ice cold. However, one click the other direction, with the LCD reading "65," I get HOT air. Really hot. <_< So hot that I don't notice any difference as I turn the temp dail up to maximum. What does this mean? Do I need a new switch? I hope it's something simple like that, and I'd appreciate any helpful suggestions.
Alex-us
Probably not the switch. More likely one of the temp sensors giving a false reading.
93shifter
Thanks - Now I know what that thing was. The theives broke the Interior temp sensor and damaged the pig-tail. I'll fix it or get a new one. Learning as I go. Thanks again.
ibdno
Yeah i had the same problem.....but mine was due to a unpluged wire on the inside temp sensor.... Later, Dno
