hunandac Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 This is my first time here I just noticed that when I reverse or even go in drive, there is a grinding noise coming from the back wheel/wheels. It gets worse when I brake. Does this mean that the brake pads need replacing? If so, why did the rear brakes go before the front ones? could it be anything else?
hunandac Posted April 27, 2006 Author Posted April 27, 2006 Could be the emergency brake is stuck. no, i checked the emergency brakes (and i NEVER use them either)
Rx330driver Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 ah, the is300 has one flaw about the brakes. After getting the car washed, or getting the brakes wet in any way, dont even try stepping on the brake, the car will have a harsh sound of grinding and it will vibrate and it will be hard on your ears. has it been raining? or a lot of moisture? If not, i would go and check the pads, if you bought the car used, you dont know what the owner did with the car, and if you bought it new, im surprised you havent changed the front brakes yet
