Wondering About Changing The Tranny

Hi,

I am still searching for a manual IS 300 on the net, but I realized that there are more automatic for sells and so it's easier to get a good price for it. So I was wondering if it was easy to changer from an automatic transmission to a standart one and how much would it cost approximatly if I do it by my self.

That was my first question, but I also have another one, cause by switching to a new transmission, I could change the engine in same time, but I don't know toyota/lexus engines alot. Is there better engine for the lexus is300 with an easy(kind of bolt to bolt) fit and keeping in mind that I would like to supercharge or maybe turbocharge it?

People have swapped to the GTE supra engine, but it isn't just a simple plug and play.

What about a new tranny, how much would it cost me, maybe if I pay someone to do it?
