jbrooksbreeden Posted August 1, 2003 Posted August 1, 2003 My dealer sprayed some "air freshener" in my car last time it was in for service. Now it smells like "Pepe Le Pew" (the cartoon skunk!). Anybody got recommendations for a real "deoderizer" I can spray everything with. The car is clean, it just stinks with a sort of sickly sweet vanilla odor. :whistles: Thanks. b.
SW03ES Posted August 1, 2003 Posted August 1, 2003 Oh God, I hate that crap. Don't you just love it when the dealer tries to "help you"? Generally what I would reccomend is just park the car out in the sun with the windows open and let it air out. Thats pretty much going to be the only way you can do it. There's a product called "Odor Gun" that removes smells from the carpet/headliner etc without adding a smell behind that you can try too.
SKperformance Posted August 2, 2003 Posted August 2, 2003 febreeze it works great i think you guys have it in the US just spray and wait
arsmtts Posted September 1, 2003 Posted September 1, 2003 To get rid of the smell first, use Arm and Hammer baking soda. Be sure to use the kind you'd place in your freezer. Put it in your car and roll the windows up. The soda will absorb the smell. Trust me, it works.
