over40driver Posted March 23, 2006 Share Posted March 23, 2006 I am looking in the owners manual at recommended oil viscosities, and am a little confused, the oil filler cap says 5w30 but I am normally driving this car in temps. between 40 and 110 degrees should I use 10w30 instead, shurly this engine prefers one or the other at 118000 miles.
