Upper Brake Light Died.

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how to get to the back of the tail light? I need to change the upper brake light.

Also, what bulb is that? I looked at the manual online but it doesn't give a bulb number. Thanks.

Open the trunk, Pull out the liner on the dead side and there are 3 nuts you have to take off to get the light housing off, Then you can get at the sockets. Easy job. You might want to get replacement hold downs for the trunk liner, You'll break 1 or 2 when taking them out.

What I do is change both sides, The other side will be going out shortly anyway. "Murphy's Law"

Thanks for the info!

Which bulb would I need exactly though for the red part all the way on top of the tail light of a 1999 GS300??? The light is supposed to be on when I am in Park but it's not. Thanks again.

I beleive it is the 7443 bulb, The clips are cheap. Check your local autozone or similar store for the clips.
