Water Pump/timing Belt

I have a 98 GS3 and I was wondering when should I get my timing belt and water pump replaced? I know people say 90k-100k, but my mechanic told me my car should be fine, and he seen people with 150k who finally got this done.. what do you guys recommend.??

For me any time between 90-120k. Depends on how the car is driven.

6 years or 90k..with 115k think about getting it done soon.

serpentine belt should be replaced to.........
