swmbo18
I was wondering if anyone can help me with this dilemma. I got my RX 400h in August and am very happy with it. At the time I was prepared to pay cash to the dealer, but he convinced me at the time of purchase to lease as he said the technology was "changing all the time", etc. I specifically asked him if I would still be elibible for the $2000 tax incentive and was told that "yes, leasing is treated the same as buying". Now I am told by my tax advisor that information is incorrect. I don't believe the dealer told me that misinformation deliberately, still I would like to inform someone in corporate that I am paying dearly for mistake. Does anyone know to whom I might write? Should I ask for some kind of compensation? Thanks!
lexus411
in all Lexus ads they state to please consult your tax advisor . If they pushed you to purchase not lease I pretty sure it had more to do with being able to hide the price you were paying in a lease.
