  1. I was wondering if anyone can help me with this dilemma. I got my RX 400h in August and am very happy with it. At the time I was prepared to pay cash to the dealer, but he convinced me at the time of purchase to lease as he said the technology was "changing all the time", etc. I specifically asked him if I would still be elibible for the $2000 tax incentive and was told that "yes, leasing is treated the same as buying". Now I am told by my tax advisor that information is incorrect. I don't believe the dealer told me that misinformation deliberately, still I would like to inform someone in corporate that I am paying dearly for mistake. Does anyone know to whom I might write? Should I ask for some kind of compensation? Thanks!
  2. New Rx400h owner here. I live on top of a hill and it's a two mile drive down to anywhere (great milage going down, the pits coming back up...). I know that by using the "B" or engine braking setting I'm probably saving some wear on breakpads. But does anyone know if I'm affecting the milage --positively or negatively-- by using this setting? Thanks all!
  3. My dealer tells me that ALL Rx400H's will have DVD's, at least for the first six months, and there is no choice involved. From previous listings here, I thought it was going to be 80% of inventory without DVDs. Has anyone else heard about this or is the dealer just trying to see me an unwanted DVD?
  4. I'm the original owner of a '92 ES 300 5-speed with 167 K. It's fully loaded (as much as it could be in '92) with leather, moonroof, CD etc. I've taken great care of it and only needed to replace the clutch once (at 136K)! When I went to the dealer to put a deposit on the upcoming RX400h, and told them about my car, they acted like they've never even heard of it! I know Lexus stopped making 5 speeds a while ago, but is this car that unusual? Do you think I'll have any trouble selling it when my hybrid comes in? Anyone have any idea what I should be asking for it? Thanks.
