Did Anyone Get A Call From Lexus?

I was wondering if anyone else got a call about their 2006 is 250s?

Lexus called me and told me that there's a prob with the car idling too high and they've received complaints. They said they want to fix the problem before it gets worse.

I'm just supposed to take it back and have them fix it and said it would take 1 and a half hours...not bad

I got mine back in november when they jsut came out so maybe it's just a prob with earlier vehicles?? Just wanted to tell u guys (unless u guys already knew...sorry)

**EDIT -- Only pertains to AWD is 250s

I checked with my friend that works at the local Lexus dealer & he said that it's only an issue on IS250 AWD models. Is yours an AWD?

I saw a TSB somewhere on accelerator pedal sticking on IS250. They are supposed to have the parts to fix this.

ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL MAY TEMPORARILY BECOME STUCK IN THE PARTIALLY DEPRESSED POSITION DUE TO INADEQUATE CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL LINKAGE AND A PLASTIC PAD EMBEDDED INTO THE VEHICLE'S CARPET.

Consequence:

THIS CONDITION MAY INTERFERE WITH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL RETURNING TO THE IDLE POSITION, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

Remedy:

DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE CLEARANCE OF THE ACCELERATION PEDAL AND CARPET, REPLACE THE PEDAL ASSEMBLY WITH A REVISED ASSEMBLY, AND MODIFY THE CARPET FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN IN LATE DECEMBER 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT LEXUS AT 1-800-255-3987.

wow...just wow

I'm amazed because I got in the mail today something from lexus that totally blew me off my feet.

I took my is 250 awd in for the accelerator issue and expected nothing more...but today in the mail I received a package from lexus, with a letter (all that I had expected but I really didn't need an apology from them cuz the service wasn't that long), an ipod nano (2 GB), and an Auxiliary Audio Cable for my car. I was amazed I was getting ready to buy an Auxiliary Audio Cable but they gave one to me for free :D .

I thought it was really thoughful of them to send a letter of apology but to send an ipod worth 200 dollars?? I've never encountered a company which did such a thing...wow
