18" Wheels For 2,5 Generation Ls400

Hello guys,

Would like to put 18" wheels on a 99LS. Was thinking of Lexus OEM off a LS430. Wanted to know if it will fit(I know 2,5 generation LS have large brake calipers on the front). I don`t want to make any modifications to fit the rims, don`t want any spacers(couple mechanics and a dealer discouraged me from doing that, saying spacers might be "asking for trouble" - safety issue).My questions are:

1. Will 18" wheels off 05LS430 fit 99LS?

2. Am I making a good choice going for Lexus wheels?

3.What else should I be taking ino consideration?

yes the 430 rims fit fine as davegs4 has them on his 98 400

Thanks, I see davegs4 has a GS400, though. Are the calipers on 98GS as large as 99LS?
