geoffreymg
My battery light came on today so i went to Pepboys so they could check the battery and they replaced it with no luck. They think its the alternator so i dropped her off at the dealer today. I've looked online for new OEM alternators and the cheapest i found was $300. The dealer quoted $384. So i went the dealer route and they gave me a loaner car for the duration since they probabaly won't get to it till next week. I will keep posted as to any other problems that might be included (power steering pump). --geoff--
geoffreymg
The infamous power steering pump has struck again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! $800+ for the pump and $500+ for the alternator. won't be done for a few days though. I guess I'll be looking a little closer for pump leakage next time. :cries:

Orlousy
I went to a place called start smart, they charged me $350 for the alternator with labor. I was quoted about $400 for the power steering pump with all the labor included, that adventure is comming up in a few weeks. Oh, they will try to sell you a new battery, which you probably need, and it was $125. Dealers will rip you off.
