93ls400walt
Next to the MAF is a box that looks like a fuse box with a cover. I removed tha cover and there is a small cover that say " air pump " and next to this is a brown colored " relay " looking elect. plug. It's top is composed of rectangle open boxes filled with a resin. it looks very dry and cracked. I want to replace this. But have no idea what it does. Just looks like future trouble. Any thoughts? Looking at the engine elect. diagram. It could be: EA1 cowl wire EA2 engine room main wire What do you think ?

I am going to get a digital camera and post a picture. It looks like a connector plug that has been overheating. Thanks for your help Walt
