1996 Ls400 Alarm Reset

Hi, My name is Van I live in Ohio. I just purchased a 1996 LS400 that is in mi9nt Condition with only 41,000 miles. I just got the keyless entry to work, but do not think the alarm is working.

Any sugestions or thoughts.

hey van and welcome to the club

there is only one button on your key head ,right ?

the button locks the doors and unlocks them, right?

but when you hit the car it doesn't go off,right ?

well the alarm works

it just does not have a shock sensor

it monitors all the locks for the hood trunk and doors

just turn the key off one day

sit in the car

and arm it

then try and unlock a door after 1 minute

it will go off

the light on the dash flashes, right?

My keyless isnt on the key its on a seperate remote and there is one for lock one for unlock and a panic button on rear.

I dont see a flashing light. I will try what you have sugested and keep you updated, but I realy dont think it is activated.
