obergc Posted November 16, 2005 Share Posted November 16, 2005 I assume that you have a 90 LS but what makes you believe that the transmission speed sensor is at fault? If your cruise control is working while the speedometer is inop, your transmission speed sensor is probably ok. Inop speedometers are a very common problem while I think the transmission speed sensor is pretty darn reliable. At least this is true for the 93 generation LS. ko90ls Posted November 16, 2005 Author Share Posted November 16, 2005 i just had a new tranny install and the guy at the place said i needed a new sensor, but he just bull and i need to find on for myself. but anyways for those whose speedometer maybe broken the fix could be the sensor. $50 a irontoad, sewell, and others! thanks for the reply!
