DaSwede_420
I recently purchased a 95 GS300 with 170k miles and whenever I shift from park into any gear and quickly press the gas pedal, the motor sounds like it's going to choke out and die, almost a lurch, but doesnt and never has actually died. Anybody know if this is a dying tranny? p.s. I took it to the dealership and they "said" they fixed it, but did not.
Wicked_Lex
I recently purchased a 95 GS300 with 170k miles and whenever I shift from park into any gear and quickly press the gas pedal, the motor sounds like it's going to choke out and die, almost a lurch, but doesnt and never has actually died. Anybody know if this is a dying tranny? It sounds to me more like an engine problem. Since you have 170K on the engine when was the last time it was tuned? Have you changed the air filter recently? If it has been tuned recently it may be a fuel mixture problem. If the mixture isn't right the engine could bog down like you've explained
TurboGS300
Actually sounds more like the TPS is in need of adjustment. <_<
