F1FTEENTH Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Hey guys, i gotta problem.... I bought the car about a month ago 1995 ES300 with 243,000 miles, still runs and drives like a DREAM. ANyways, since ive got it, and more recently on these chilly wisconsin days, i notice a Burning oil smell coming from the vents when i have the heat on, about 75 degrees or higher...and sometimes, you can see some smoke or something from them. but, just the smell is bad...im getting so worried, since winter is coming and...i dont wanna have to breathe burning oil or w/e to drive in the cold....Please help me guys, thanks alot- Joel ps. i tried pressure washing the engine all over...and still..i get it....
Toysrme Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Externial oil leaks find there way to the y-pipe where the burn on it. Check the rear valve cover, & rear main seal. Normally the front's don't leak b/c of the tilt in the engine, but check them too.
