I'm thinking about buying my sisters 1992 SC300 Lexus for $4000.00. It has 197,000 miles on it ( a lot of freeway miles). She is the original owner and it has been fairly well maintained. I have a few questions:

1. Is this a good deal?

2. How long could I expect this car to run? Meaning with the mileage so high, is it going to be breaking down soon?

3. What are the problems with this car?

Note: I don't expect to be going out of town often, I'll use it for daily driving around the town.

Head gaskets are a common problem with high mileage inline sixes.

that is a ok price .... if you have an outlet at an auction you can beat that price for that amount of miles.
