nc211 Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 Well, the closer tropical storm Irene gets to NC, the more I add to my list of things to do this weekend. Was gonna go fishing about 20 miles out, but forget that! Talk about a ride on a vomit-comit. So, gonna clean out the throttle body. Let me get this straight, I just pull off the air intake parts, get to the butterfly opening, and spray some carb cleaner in there? That's it right? Just spray on, let dry, and good to go? Thanks all
TexasLexus94 Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 I always spray the cleaner, and then use an old toothbrush attached to a stick to really get all the carbon out. The entire throttle body along with the butterfly valve will need to be brushed, I think. I finish by wiping down the interior with a rag. Amazing how dirty it gets...
TexasLexus94 Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 By the way, according to the picture you've posted, you look just like Chucky the Clown. Thanks for your help.
