Dashley Posted July 28, 2005 Share Posted July 28, 2005 The air conditioner in my 1992 ES 300 is cutting off although the temperature is not near the set degrees. If I lower the setting to the coldest setting it blows cold air but when I raise the setting (eg to 67 or 68) the fan does not go on. If I use the manual mode, it blows cold air for awhile at 67 or 68, but then cuts off until I lower it to the coldest setting. Any ideas? steviej Posted July 28, 2005 Share Posted July 28, 2005 do a search on "expansion valve" and see if the symptoms in the associated threads are similar.
