Center Arm Rest

I doubt it will help in the US, but in most of the rest of the world, Toyota sells a Toyota version of the GX470 as either the Toyota Land Cruiser (http://www.toyota.co.uk/) or the Toyota Land Cruiser Parado (http://www.toyota.com.hk/). The interesting thing is that the Toyota model does have a center armrest. I would have preferred the center armrest over the captians chairs in the GX, but the other positives of the GX outweighed this for me.

I like the present armrest. I sometimes raise one or the other to have easy access to the cupholder or storage compartment.

I am considering buying a new GX470, but the lack of a center arm rest is pretty uncomfortable- the little individual ones are really too small. Has anyone seen an accessory armrest?

The small arm rests have been a problem for me. I've gotten used to the full center arm rests in my previous cars. Maybe there's a way to retrofit the GX470 with the Toyota arm rest.

One of the biggest advantage of that type of armrest is that no matter how much you put the seat forward or backward, the armrest is in the right place, I believe that is the intend behind that design. With that said, since I am just about average height, I perfer the center concole type of arm rest, but it is definitely not a deal breaker for me. I just wish they have the optional wide folding arm rest like the Honda CRX.
