JG67
Hello everyone..Quick question!! I have a 98 ES300. I am in Jacksonville, FL and it has been raining heavily during the afternoon since the beginning of the week. I noticed that my AC light indicator was flashing, then the cold air would disappear. I then turn off the ac, then turn i back on. All system go after that. Cold air is back. All this happened while I was driving very slowly, about 20 mph on a 1 1/2 inch of water for 5 minutes. Anyone have any insights on why the AC light would flash during these heavy rain? Any other day is fine. AC workd great. I do most my minor maintenance, had the AC recharged last month. Thanks in advance.. JG ?
Eric5412
The a/c light is flashing because it thinks that the compresor is locked up.The compressor stops turning because the drive belt is slipping when it gets wet.Adjust belt tension.
