ycl Posted June 20, 2005 Posted June 20, 2005 Does maintenance have to be through a Lexus dealer for leased vehicles? My real question being...any downside or charge from Lexus for using an external mechanic for servicing, especially when you return the car?
steviej Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 no, for run of the mill maint. procedures you are not locked into have a Lexus shop do the work. Toyota shops can do it as well as independents. ***Save all your work orders and reciepts!!!***** For more specific work, don't be surprised if you are directed to a Lexus shop. Lastly, any warranty work should be done by your Lexus shop. Keep in mind, any work that is done outside of a Lexus shop will not be reflected in the Lexus' national computer system. Again, keep all you maint. records in order for later review if needed. steviej
ycl Posted June 21, 2005 Author Posted June 21, 2005 Anywhere that I could reference for what Lexus needs done in terms of maintenance other than typical oil changes?
bartkat Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 If you leased the car from Lexus, they should give you an owners manual.
