scotib Posted July 3, 2003 Share Posted July 3, 2003 Hey guys, Has anyone ever changed the Evaporator Valve or Evaporative Valve? I have a 95 ES300 and have had the A/C checked out and due to blowing hot air off and onwhile running the A/C. Both places tell me it is the Evaporator Valve or Evaporative Valve. One tells me the part can only come from Lexus (about $390)the other tells me he can get one from a parts house (About $100.00) Now comes the labor... Is this something that can be change my self and then just have the System recharged. I don't have a manual for it yet so I'm just going by what I've known in the past. The Evaporator Valve I think is going to be behinde the dash. It's getting near 100 degrees this weekend and it's just not fun sticking to the seats. Any assistance will be appreciated.
