john1529 Posted May 24, 2005 Posted May 24, 2005 I'm new to lexus and the site (great site btw!). I'm looking to purchase a 95-96 es300 w/under 110000 miles. After searching and reading FAQ I've found the following information to check before purchase: service records accidents # owners motor mounts brakes oil sludge problem transmission issues? Is there anything else that I should specifically look for or be wary of with this generation? Thanks John

But service history is very important for all years ES. Have the car inspected by your mechanic before you purchase. If the seller does not let you take take the car or drive it themself, run, away from the deal. B) Welcome to the club! ;)
SKperformance Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 good work you are prepared to be a great owner with knowledge . With a 95-96 the tranny and service are the most important. Make sure the a/c runs on a hot day. Have a tech inspect it for structural damage and mechanical prefection.
