lexuseses Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 I have a '93 Lexus ES300, black on black. Recently I have had problems with my tranny. I had it checked out and found out that I will need a new one VERY soon. I already have another car, so not worried about it that much. What is sad is that the car only has about 130k on it (although the previous owners probably did not maintain it at all). Now here is my problem, should I sell it as is with the tranny problem or part it out. How much should I ask? Or should I call one of those places that will come buy your car running or not. Currently it is running (just slow to pick up speed) and has current tags/ and cold a/c. Any help/opinions appreciated.
1995_ES300 Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 why not just change the fluid and see how that works....its life is only half over at 130k, and for under $100, give it a shot?

Lexusfreak Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 I would sell the car 'as is' & not bother to fix the tranny. You will not be able to get back the money you sink into it. B)
