ralexx73 Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 This morning as I was going to work, I noticed the batter light "on" in my dash. I had no choice but to keep going. The first thing to die was the radio, then the wipers were moving at 1/2 the speed. The windows struggled to go down, the headlights started to dim down, after 15 minutes on the road, it seemed that the car had lost most of it's power (kind of like a radio control car)....it was barely moving, so I turned the lights off and it helped the car to keep going. The car died as I drived up to work parking lot. What could it be? Is the Lexus the same as other cars where the Alternator creates power as the car is driving or is this not so. Please help.
jbarhorst2 Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 It sounds to me like your alternator died and the battery ran the car as long as it could. Once the battery discharged the car could no longer run. Tom
