meddle Posted July 1, 2003 Posted July 1, 2003 I posted a couple weeks ago about my problems getting the timing belt changed on my SC300. The threads on the harmonic balance bolt had apparent corroded over the years and the damn thing wouldnt budge. I took my car to Dallas to see if JPI could help me out. We tried: - 1000 ft/lb impact wrench - 3 ft long breaker bar - bracing the bolt and starting the engine NO LUCK. I ended up leaving the car with JPI and flew back to College Station with the expectation that I was going to have to spend another $500 to have the bolt cut, drilled out and tapped. On top of the $140 for the plane ticket...... GOOD NEWS TODAY THOUGH. JPI busted out a huge breaker bar and him and 5 of his buddies kicked that damned bolts !Removed!! So like the title of the thread says......JPI is the man!
JPI Posted July 1, 2003 Posted July 1, 2003 Nothing is impossible Richard.... I just got back in from the garage.....I need to get some sleep..It has been a long long day. JPI
