Jacob
I was trying to replace my front brake pads and have the rotors resurfaced. Unfortunately, I stripped the head of one of the two screws that hold the rotor. Any ideas on how to fix the problem? And what size screw driver should I use for the remaining screws. 1996, LS400 Thank you,
cruznroadking
Try using an impact driver to remove the screws. Otherwise worst case scenario i've used a chiesel & hammer, but be careful.
branshew
There is a special drill bit made that was meant to remove stripped screws and bolts that have had the heads snapped off by overtorquing them. Try Sears or a good hardware store
Jacob
Thanks to both of you I bought a set of bolt extactors at Auto Zone, and got the screw out.
calean007
What I did was just bang a flat head in there to get some teeth and got them out. Was able to put the back in too..
jadecuir
Put a dab of anti-seize compound on the threads when you put 'em back in.
