Gitzinator
Hi all, Question for someone: Ever had the power function of the steering wheel go goofey on you? If you know this feature, when you remove the key the wheel will retract & raise up to be "out of your way" for exit/entrance of the vehicle. When you put the key back in, the wheel should reset to the previous position (tilt and distance). I have recently been experiencing a lot of the time when you take the key out the wheel it will maybe move up or in just a smidge sometimes, and others a bit more, and sometimes the way it's suppose to. Same goes for getting in. When the key gets inserted the wheel sometimes does not tilt or go to the preset position. If i hit the door panel preset button, it glides into place. Any thoughts? Thanks !!
blake918
I had the exact same problem n my '95, and this tsb solved everything. It's really easy to do, and it doesn't take much time either. Good luck!!!! http://www.clublexus.com/index.php/article...eview/2077/1/

RFeldes
I had the same problem and did the TSB and it worked great. So if you do the TSB and still have a problem, I also noticed that as my battery was about to fail the wheel acted strange when I started the engine, ie: didn't remember my drive position. When I replaced the battery all was well. Sounds goofey, but in reality, the starter takes a lot of amps. Anyways, I decided that it is an indication of the battery starting to fail if you have adjusted the gear back onto the worm drive. Will this ring a bell with other owners?
