Fog Lights

Recommended Posts

I just noticed today my fog lights are not working. Does anyone know where the fuse is for these, I cannot seem to find it anywhere? They used to work, and now by some unknown parting of the heavens they have stopped. I doubt it was both at the same time, so I'm thinking it was a fuse. If I do have to replace them, do I have to take off the bumper shroud, etc to get to them?

It's funny, they make a switch noise when I turn them on, but nothing. Help, I want my driving lights back.

Fuse #3 shown in the attachment, marked in yellow. The relay is marked in green. It should be the source of the clicking sound you hear when turning the switch OFF-ON-OFF.

The fuse panel is located behind the driver's side kick panel, under the dash.

GuyTelefunken you are the best. I took some time today to look at my fuses, and they were both good. Being as this was a new car, they might not have worked right off the bat.

I know some body work was done on the front end -- after taking off the fog lights, lo and behold the mechanic did not plug them in. ... How LAME. Some people just do not know how to do a decent job anymore in the shop. Anyway. Plugged em in, and they are working like a charm... YES!

wow! what detail...is there a central site for all this lexus knowledge...on soft copy.

i wish i had all the answers to all the worlds mysteries.

Unfortunately the central site from which that detailed (highlighted for your convenience) information comes is my head; with the help of the Lexus service manual.

Kkeppler - Glad you got them working! Never overlook the obvious. I always do, but I learn a lot in the process!
