LexKid630 Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 Today i was behind a 97-99 ES for about 30 minutes on the highway and noticed that the emblem on the trunk read 300ES. I always thought that it was supposed to be ES300? Do you think that this trunk was repainted and the emblems put on backwards? or are they made to be different? Just wondering too see if anyone knows what might have happened.
NeiLtYmE Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 either that or he did that on purpose to make it look differenet. But no, its not supposed to be that way.
steviej Posted March 12, 2005 Posted March 12, 2005 1. dyslexic bodyshop 2. doesn't pay attention to detail 3. really wants a Mercedes but can't decide on E or S class. whichever, it ain't supposed to be 300ES steviej
HubJunky1 Posted March 12, 2005 Posted March 12, 2005 One of my neighbors has a 99 ES300 that has had.. lets just say.. cheap bodywork. It says 300 ES on the back, and it looks bizarre.. stick with ES300 kids!

Ya I see those "dyslexic" emblems now and then. I've seen "400 LS" and "300 GS". In this situation, I'd rather see a car debadged than have it look like it was rebadged in the dark.
