speedntktz
On some cold winter mornings I get in the car and set the AC to AUTO and set the PASS. or DRIVER side to anywhere in the low to mid 70's and I get nothing. The fan only comes on if I reduce the temp setting to MAX COLD or mid 60's. The only way to solve the problem has been to manually set the climate control to MAX HEAT and set the fan speed to full getting lots of warm air moving through the cabin. After about 5 minutes of this I can set the climate control to AUTO and it works properly. Any suggestions of things to look at or check prior to breaking the bank and taking it to the dealer. This is a 99 LS400.
PK_Lex
I thought that's the way it's supposed to be. The fan and heat kicks in only after the engine has warmed up.
nc211
I agree with PK. Auto should not work unless the computer knows it's got the warm air to supply.
wwest
Fan, blower motor, is not enabled in auto mode until the engine water jacket temperature rises to 130F
