boomtime Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 I have added a alpine S12 sub into my sportcross. Now I am looking to upgrade my speakers. I have the indash GPS so it is very dificult to change my head unit I have heard. So would adding new speakers and a amp make improvement? I have also heard about the JL clean sweep would it be something that would help me?

The installer said that since she wanted to keep her stock headunit (keep the steering wheel controls), they would have to run new wires to the speakers (2ohm in the front and 4ohm in the rear - stock). The added Boston Acoutics in the front and rear with a 4-channel sub running those and a 2-channel sub running the 2-10's. Whatever you do, do not use Tweeter to do the install. They did over $3500 in damage to her vehicle (scratches to the doors, and dashboard).
GSsoldier Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 personally id ont think the JLs speakers are too great... their emphasies is on subwoofers... premiers sounded better at the local good guys...
