  1. Many tints contain metal - metallic tint. I was informed that this type of tint would render the NAV and radio pretty much inoperative. I had ceramic tint installed and have experienced no problems. Hope all goes well for you.
  2. My fiance purchased her RX330 new in Feb 05 (w/o Nav and ML) and kept the head unit but upgraded to Boston Acoustics speakers powered by a 75x4 Alpine amplifier. In addition, she also included 2-10" subs powered by a 175x2 MTX amp for added bass. In all, it sounds pretty clean. The only reason she did not change the radio itself was 1. it was a lease, and 2. she woud loose the steering wheel controls. BTW....if you are looking to have it professionally installed, steer clear of Tweeter. They raked up $3600 in damages to her truck (albeit it had 250 miles on it) - damage included scratches to the doors, wood gear selector and panels. Hope this helps...
  3. My fiance had the speakers replaced and an amp added to her '05 RX330. The installer said that since she wanted to keep her stock headunit (keep the steering wheel controls), they would have to run new wires to the speakers (2ohm in the front and 4ohm in the rear - stock). The added Boston Acoutics in the front and rear with a 4-channel sub running those and a 2-channel sub running the 2-10's. Whatever you do, do not use Tweeter to do the install. They did over $3500 in damage to her vehicle (scratches to the doors, and dashboard).
  4. I would go with Alpine or Boston Acoustics. I had the Type R series in the from and Type S in the rear of my 2003 MB C230 K Coupe and it was very nice. The BA's that I am purchasing (SL60 in the front and SL95 in the rear) powered by a 300/4 JL Audio amp. It should sound much better.
